Mastering The Shirt Dress: Versatile & Easy
Feels so good to be back, I was in Spain for a couple of days and these pictures were taken at the Palacio Real de Madrid, a must see if you ever visit Madrid. The palace is fabulous, the interiors of each room was elaborate and very grand. On this day I went for a breezy, comfortable shirt dress. Button down shirts are my favorite so naturally I’m a fan of the shirt dress; it’s another one of those versatile and elegant dresses that looks great on any body type. It makes the perfect casual chic dress for summer and with the right accessories it can even be glam. This dress can get a different look every time you wear it, making it perfect for the office or a romantic date. I decided to wear a belt to define my waist and a pair of gladiator flats, but ballet flats, stiletto sandals, or your favorite converse sneakers would look great with this style of dress. Here are some ideas on how to wear it:
- Glam: hot stiletto sandals, clutch, no belt
- Boho: chunky sandals, dark brown leather belt, oversized sunglasses, bucket bag
- Office: Classic pump, black blazer, leather belt, structure purse
