7 Ideas To Help You Get Through Quarantine

Like many of you, I am also in self-isolation at home when I’m not working due to COVID-19. Although Netflix & chill sounds like a great idea, you can only binge watch so many shows before boredom kicks in. We have a lot more free time in our hands, and there are several activities you can do to pass the time.

I’ve had so many projects on hold because I’m always running around or would much rather hang out with my family, fiancé, and friends. Quarantine can be the perfect excuse to practice some self-care, spending much needed time with your family, or de-cluttering your closet and drawers.

De-Clutter Your Life

Marie Kondo is just what I needed! Out with the old, in with the new! I can’t tell you how satisfying it was to clean out my closet and drawers. If you haven’t worn it in six months get rid of it, you can donate it or sell it.

Get Your Fitness On

All we have is time and setting aside 40-60 minutes a day to sweat it out and work on your fitness is a must! Plus, it’ll help keep you from going stir crazy. There are so many workout apps to choose from that have tones of options to choose from, such as Tone it Up, Fitonapp, Sweat. Fitness studios like Peleton, Oranage Theory, and Pure Barre are offering free online workout classes during this time. So get ready to burn some calories and tone that body!

Game Night with the Fam

Get those board games out and get ready for some competitive fun! If you’re lucky enough to be self-isolating with your family take advantage and bring out your favorite games.

Book Club

Time to finish reading your book that’s been sitting on your nightstand for the last five months (guilty). Pour yourself a glass of wine or hot tea, get a cozy blanket, and pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read. There are plenty of digital book clubs!

FaceTime with Friends

I know I’m not the only one who misses human interaction. I can’t wait to hug and see all my gals and familia! Thank God for FaceTime and Zoom that allows us to set up group chats and catch up with the people we love! Comb your hair, pour your favorite drink, and get ready to get digital.

Get Some Rest

One way to boost your immunity is to ensure you’re getting at least 8 hours of sleep. Spray lavender on your pillows, use a sleeping mask, and try your best to get some sleep. I know so many American’s are worried about how they are going to pay their bills, will they have a job, or when this will be over.

Spa Day/ Night

We can all use some self- care right about now; maybe you can finally try that homemade hair or face mask. A DIY manicure and pedicure might happen soon in my living room because my no-chips are on hold until further notice, lol.

Do you guys have any ideas you would  like to share?!
